Brown is the new black, and there are stones to match!

Brown rivals black as the basic color in the wardrobe of many women.  From fawn to coffee, earthy tones complement virtually every skin-tone, so it’s no wonder our closets are full of rusts, sands and umbers.

With the popularity of earth tones, stones like amber and smoky quartz have made a huge comeback.  Amber cabochons in all our jewelry pieces range from the traditional honey-colored to lemon and green. And smoky quartz, whether as breath-taking solitaires in our rings to smaller tones in our earrings and barrettes, is a perennial favorite to wear with browns.

There are some stones, however, that you may not have considered to accessorize your brown clothes, like banded agate, jasper and pietersite. These exotic stones, available primarily in pendants and rings, can add a little mystery to your style.

Our banded agate beads and pendants range from a deep honey color to deep brown. Or check out our rare eye agate pendant with its deep brown and white circles.

Jasper is found in a variety of colors and patterns.  Picture jasper, a delicate wheat color, looks great with today’s fashions.  Or choose autumn jasper, like the golden brown stones in our unakite and moss agate bracelet.  Leopard jasper, spotted cabochons in a variety of colors, often include brown, gold or rust.  Fancy jasper also is found in a variety of colors, often including rust, red and brown.  Red jasper and breciated jasper, which is also usually mostly brick red, also work well with various shades of brown.

Don’t pass up a look at our pietersite.  These unusual cabochons of various colors of beige and browns, look like tiny pressed pieces of wood.  If you lean toward the exotic, buy pietersite to accentuate your brown wardrobe.

Try citrine earrings or even a turquoise pendant with some of your brown pieces.  This versatile color can be the perfect backdrop for your fine jewelry.
