Deep color and stunning clarity in a rare gem is so special, but for many jewelry lovers, it’s the gem cuts that take their breath away.  Here at JeGem.com, we know that, and we offer a wide range of cuts suited to accent the exquisite beauty of each of our rare gemstones!

Each one of our gems is evaluated by a skilled gem cutter to determine the cuts that will best enhance the stone.  Then he cuts the gem by hand.  One false move and he’s ruined a valuable gem!  Some of our extra-fine cut pieces have hundreds of individual cuts!

One of the most popular and familiar gem cut is the brilliant cut.  You see it in primarily round and oval gems that are clear.  A perfect example is our gorgeous garnet earrings.  Look at the gorgeous glints of red in those stunning cuts!

Another popular cut is the step cut.  Used to highlight the beauty of baguette and princess gems, these cuts give the gem depth.  Take, for instance, our stunning smoky quartz pendant.  It is so gorgeous!

Table-cut gems are generally solid stones.  These cuts give the piece a higher profile and depth.  Gorgeous table-cut pieces include our stunning fancy jasper pendant and our moss agate ring.

Checker cuts can be used in solid or semi-translucent gems.  A gorgeous check board-cut piece is our amazing onyx choker necklace.  Another is our stunning carnelian pendant.

Check board cuts can be carved on both the top and back of the gem, giving it even more intense dazzle.  A perfect example of this would be our stunning golden-green fire labradorite pendant.
