Citrine and peridot are perfect stones despite the season
Email This Article To A Friend

The warm golden glow of citrine and the bright yellow-green of peridot are reminiscent of warm spring and summer days.  However fabulous these stones look with your spring and summer wardrobe, remember that they have lots of potential in the fall and winter, too.

Citrine can range from canary yellow to a deep orange.  It is a perfect complement to spring and summer’s orange, yellow and green brights.  However, on its own or paired with other stones, like our brilliant-cut garnet earrings, citrine is just as beautiful with fall and winter’s browns, tans, khakis, bricks and even purple.  Yes, purple!  One of the hottest gemstone color combinations is citrine and amethyst, like our fancy gem bracelet.

Citrines also appear frequently with peridot, like with our chandelier earrings or our incredible baguette, step-cut ring.  Wear these stones together with coral, watermelon or even bright orange.  Or pair them with a dark green or rust suit in the fall.

Peridot on its own is a stunning gem.  Ranging from a pale, watery seafoam green to a bright chartreuse, the birthstone for August is the color of spring.

Try our sterling silver barrette studded with peridot for an elegant look or a pair of dangling peridot earrings.  Pair your peridot jewelry with lime green, coral, or even turquoise fashions.  In cool weather, wear your peridot pieces with moss green, tan or black for a stunning splash of cool color.

Peridot can even be worn with other green stones. Take, for instance, our polished peridot and jade necklace.  This stunning piece would set off a yellow blouse or white dress.

Both citrine and peridot are popular choices in multi-gemstone pieces.  Try them together in our multi-stone cross pendant or brilliant cut bracelet.  However you choose to wear them, consider adding these bright, cheery stones to your jewelry collection.
