After many weeks of drab winter weather, spring is about to make its debut. Tiny buds of green can almost be detected on the trees and one wonders if any day the crocuses might push up from the hardened ground. 

The re-entry of spring is the best time to start planning our spring wardrobes.  If you've been hiding behind those blacks, browns and grays all winter, it's time to inject some color.  Lime greens, beige, navy blues, and of course, the traditional pastels will all brighten our wardrobe this season and there are a variety of gemstones that will add a special zing to these lighter hues. 

Opals, moonstone, amethysts -- all good choices for spring.  I'm envisioning any of these stones in a bracelet worn with a snappy new beige pantsuit. Our unusual jaspers contain many of nature's colors  rolled into one stone.  How great would an oversized  jasper pendant look against a brand new lime-green blazer?
